Milano eng gasket replacement

Hi all,
The frontal area of this 3.0L engine is weeping oil in several places. Plan to
replace the timing belt, water pump, cam seals, valve cover gaskets, spark
plug seals, manifold gaskets (leaking),  and the crank pulley seal. Before I
start, are there any words of wisdom in avoiding tank traps in this endeavor?
I'm very nervous about the cams slipping out of proper place. And there's no
Alfa garage around here.
