milano rear brake disk removal advice needed

digesters,
i am in the process of replacing my driver's side rear
brake disk, and would appreciate some advice on
getting out of this pickle. i know this comes up but
can't seem to find the right threads in the archives,
and the milano shop manual seems to be pointing me
toward the gtv6 manual:( so, i've been following some
stuff from the twiki, but it is a bit vague.

anyway:

i've got the disk unbolted, but am having difficulty
with the caliper. the outboard adjustment bolt and nut
were frozen to each other. in the process of freeing
them i managed to knock the spring clip off the bolt,
and i've now got some brake fluid leaking out of the
caliper past the screw. furthermore, the pad doesn't
seem to want to retract enough to let me pull out the
rotor.

i haven't tackled one of these brakes before to know
what it's supposed to do under proper conditions, so
if someone could give me some pointers here, i'd be
grateful. also, once i get the rotor off, will i be
able to replace the seal on the adjustment screw (does
it come with the rebuild kit) or should i just spring
for the remanufactured unit?

thanks,
