Need help re-setting Alfa Spider speedometer "zero"

I had the clutch Master Cylinder replaced by a mechanic. He must have whacked the speedometer sender unit located adjacent, since immediately afterword the speedometer at rest reads 15 mph. The speedometer and odometer work just fine except for speeds less than 15 mph (then it reads 15mph). I also tried to disconnect the speedometer electrical connector, but that did not reset anything. International Auto told me that replacing the speedometer sender unit will probably NOT fix the problem but that there likely is some way to adjust the "zero". Any ideas? I just listed the car for sale on ebay - ending Tuesday 5/20/03, so if anyone has some suggestions I want to let the new buyer know what to expect. Thanks.
