Spider trunk lid torsion bar

  A little help please from the esteemed digesti. I need a bit of help in 
routing the torsion rods back into  place on my 73 spider. When the torsion 
rod leaves the lid support arm, does it go in the rear, or forward position 
on the first clamp/bracket? And likewise, which position should it occupy in 
the far bracket?
