I agree that this fine magazine has deteriorated recently. However, so has 
the actual variety of cars to write about. The North American market has 
become very thinly populated with interesting cars. Most are appliance like 
and much the same old same old. When more than half the market consists of 
SUV/Truck/Minivans, it doesn't leave much room for interesting cars to 
write about.

In other parts of the world the variety of available cars is much greater 
and there is more to write about. British car mags, or NZ or Australian 
mags have more interesting stuff.

Despite the deterioration R&T is still the best of a generally bad lot. Try 
European Car or Sports Car International for a little variety.
