Recommend an 11 foot ceiling to allow both Spider or Milano (or similar) to 
be on lift or below.  Also consider the depth of garage & where the garage 
door opener is situated - you may have to adjust the extent to which the 
door opens if it raises into the garage.

Now if only I could get the non-running Spider running & off the lift so I 
could use it for other tasks except storage!!!
