Why do we bother

That's a general question I have been asking myself all of my life.


More to the point :  this cannot do much good; however, please know 
that you have my deep and sincere sympathy and empathy.

Fight for justice with your insurance company.  Sometimes they 
succumb to a relentless press.

If you have trouble, do let us know who your insurer is.


FWIW  :  I have State Farm and have been very pleased with their 
willingness to cover weird cars.   They could not, for example, find 
a Lotus Elan in their books but honored my substantial claim when my 
first was totaled..

I take relatively good care of my '87 Verde for 16 years and 216,000 miles.
Then some idiot female (apologies to our safe driving distaff digesters)
with her head up her butt rear ends me while I'm stopped at a red light.
Bumper, passenger side rear quarter panel, big damage. Trunk lid and back
door, we'll see.   Now the fight will start with her insurance company who
will swear that there were no 1987 Verdes made and I really have a Silver
which they will want to total.  I will not let that happen.
