Re-jet his or her carburettors, or adjust the mixture on the injection.  
This needs to be done anyway, to get the best gains out of the modifications.  
Actually, out of any modifications.  One jet size richer is a good place to start for an exhaust change.  It may be advantageous to adjust the cam timing and ignition timing too.
