v6 cylinder head pins

Hi-

Does anyone have any experience with mating mid-87 and later heads with
earlier bottom ends?  Specifically, the later engines used the fatter oil
pins (one per side) with the o-ring groove, the earlier ones used the
slim ones w/o o-ring.  The later heads have a larger oil feed hole to
accomodate the o-ringed pins.  Anyway, I am looking for a source for
either style pin, so I can either a: retrofit a bottom end with the later
style pins, and/or b: replace the old style pins with old-style
pins-without having to machine new ones myself (fun as that would be).
