Spider windshield installation

There is only one thing keeping me from Project Alfa's first road test and
that is the installation of the new windshield. I'm fairly certain I can
figure out how to do this but if anyone who has done it has any tips or
advice I'd be grateful to have them.

Do I put the gasket on the frame or the windshield?
Should I "lube" it
What's a good sealant for the lower edge?

Or anything else you can think of.
