A/C compressor pulley bearings

Ahhhh, the grumble under the hood... Hard to isolate at the moment, but I'm 
somewhat sure its the A/C compressor over the water pump. The water pump has 
about 10K miles on it at this point, I can't move the shaft with my hand (not 
definitive), or move the shaft on the a/c compressor. Question then is, if it 
is indeed the a/c compressor, is it possible to r/r the pulley bearings? I hope 
so. And if so, what kind of job is it? Thanks in advance,
