Oh please Mr. Smith, not more flame bait. F1 isn't that hard to understand
for us ignorant Americans, it's just like NASCAR at the Glen but no fenders.
And those stupid Europeans must be poor cause they can only afford one pit
per team. And they must be slow cause they need 14-17 guys to change four
tires and put gas in.

don't understand Formula One. The commentary was worse than banal, it was
borderline stupid. Where is the informed commentary of ITV?

Tragically, Formula One is being also modified to suit the uninformed
largely TV audience. As Villeneuve said: qualifying is irrelevant if you
cannot refuel after qualifying. Certainly, the fastest and best cars did
not win even though they were reliable.

Far from being exciting the whole affair was about as exciting as watching
the slots players in Las Vegas.

It's a sad day when the premier motor sports event in the entire world has
degenerated into a mere spectacle.
