Subject: Correct color of POR-15 for Milano engine compartment
There is a small area in the engine compartment of my Milano where the
paint
is peeling off. It is the result of a leaky brake bias valve which has
since been repaired. The area is already starting to show some surface
rust, & therefore, I want to coat it with POR-15 before it becomes a
problem.
Would the gloss or the semi-gloss be the most appropriate color to use?
I
would assume semi-gloss, but I wanted to put it to the Digest before I
order.
Depends what you want for a final finish. You must paint over POR-15 with
another opaque color or it will degrade. If it is glossy already, its
easier to get a glossy finish with the stuff you paint over it. :o)
