Re: synthetic oil

NEVER use this 0W-30 in any but the newest of cars which pointedly 
specify it. Cars not SPECIFICALLY designed for this oil will have their 
bearings destroyed by using it.  NO Alfa ever sold in the USA by Alfa 
Romeo SHOULD EVER USE THIS OIL. To do so would mean disaster for your 
engine. Also NEVER use synthetic oil in ANY CAR made before multi-grade 
oil became standard. That means any Alfa built prior to the '70's. It 
will destroy your main seals and possibly your oil-pan seal, and your 
car will start to leak. Any car designed for mult-grade oil can use 
synthetic or semi-synthetic. Also, you can mix synthetic and normal 
mineral OF THE SAME WEIGHT together in an emergency but you will 
destroy the longevity of the synthetic oil - better than destroying 
your engine, though, with insufficient oil....
