Verde brake problem

Was wondering if anyone had a clue about this problem. Recently, when I
brake hard or in a panic stop, there seems to be a delay between when I get
boost pressure that really grabs the brakes. Under normal driving I never
notice it but under harder braking the delay really gets my attention. It
kind of feels like a surge in brake pressure after the delay. Any thoughts.
