GTV6 Questions

   The heater in my GTV6 doesn't work.I can see that the lever seems
to be actuating the valve. I replaced a hose that looked kinked.The 
car doesn't overheat.The heater blower works.What could it be?
    Another question... is there supposed to be a trim piece between 
the inner door handle and the door panel? I don't think my car had
any when I got it at 3yr old.If so,is it availible through the regular 
sources or only used?
