Chris,
       I am talking about the short hoses between the fuel rail and the 
injector on the Bosch L Jetronic Alfa spiders.  You have to cut the old hose 
lengthwise and you need something sharp to get up under the "hat" at each end 
of the hose.
       Your suggested tool might work fine for cutting new hose square before 
installing it.
