As a GTV-6 fan myself, I can say with some certainty that both should 
be running at the same time. In fact, they are wired in parallel, I 
believe, and they are actuated by the same thermostat switch. If the 
left fan isn't running when the right one is, its because something is 
almost assuredly wrong.
