I've never used or heard of Megasquirt, however it sounds like it has 
the same principle used in other engine management systems such as 
Motec, Gems, etc. However instead of using an untested and unknown 
product I would recommend using a tried (most cars in world rally 
championship like the Mitsubishi team use Motec) product such as Motec.
