Re: GTV front AND rear glass removal
My method of removing the gasketed rear window on my 1971 GTV, which at the
time was 27 years old, was to get in the car with only socks on, put both
feet flat on the glass at one of the upper corners and gently push the glass
out, working my way across the top of the car. My buddy Glenn was standing
outside to catch the glass.
I had the seats out at the time, but that is probably easier than prying the
glass out. My success rate was 100%, but that was only for one time as well.
We also successfully removed the glued in front windshield and saved the trim
as well. It just takes time, don't ever pry on the glass with a screwdriver,
too much at a small point.
