Well, I guess my point is that that's what I'm potentially reduced to.
Manufacturing parts! Whereas when I owned the MGB, or the TR4-A, I didn't
have to worry about such things. Believe me, I'm not slamming Alfa
ownership. Quite the opposite. I'm championing it, and at the same time
wondering why - given the incredibly enthusiastic type of cars Alfas are -
the aftermarket isn't quite as "there for me" as with other marques. The
answer, as you state is economics, but why isn't the market there? There
are plenty of Alfas still around, owned by passionate, enthusiastic people.
Fewer and fewer, to be sure, but isn't that true of MGs and Triumphs also?
The last thing I want to do is start manufacturing my own trim pieces for
crying out loud...
