Not necessarily Nick.   By recycling the plastic bottle stopper you protect
the bark of some poor underpaid cork tree from having to give of itself so
FIAT Spa can manufacture yet another spare OEM float !!!

When replacing the OEM fuild-level float on your Alfa Romeo with the cork
from a wine bottle, use real cork, not the plastic cork. If you use the
plastic cork, you are adding to the endangerement of the ultra-rare Iberian
Lynx!
