Jeff,

The 1223 code can also point to the AFMeter.  Check this link from the old
archive for a discussion of other possible causes.  Also,  I would not trust
connections to the temp sensor that "look" oK.  The voltages feeding the ECU
are often very small and need good connections.  Hope this link helps.
