164 front end twitch or wander

'Trying to sort out a problem on a recently acquired 91 L. The PO install 225/15 tires that require wheel spaces. (Plan to return car to stock or may one oversize). Tire wear appears even on all four corners. Mileage is 144K; car was in accident to rear. Repair appear OK.

The problem:

The car experiences a pull/lurch to the right when you let off the accelerator to change gears or slow down - doesn't happen always but most of the time. When turning left in a moderate to hard turn, the car will also lurch left and then return to previous attitude. Sometimes during straight a level driving, the car will experience a dead spot in the center and seem to wander - similar to feeling when the toe in/out is wrong. All these machinations seem to come from the passenger side suspension.

Suspects: Strut bearing - no clunks or other usual symptoms.

Alignment:

Suspension parts: A arm busing allowing castor change under power or braking?

Suggestions/experience welcome.
Thanks,

Don
