cat converter needed for '77 spider, SF Bay Area

Hi all,
Tried to send this before, but I don't think it went through.....
I'm back in town on winter break, and my car was not able to pass smog 
because it does not have a catalytic converter (actually, according to the 
mechanic it's because the SPICA is going south). I just need something to 
get me through this smog test so that I can keep the car registered until I 
graduate in May, at which point I'm planning on doing some major work (well, 
as soon as I find a job).
So, has anyone in the SF Bay Area got a non-furry cat lying around that they 
would like to either lend or sell?
