Trip Odometer Problem

Bruce,
Based on your suggestion, I just messed with the instrument pod on my
wife's 91 spider. Seeing no screws and with the large knee bolster
underneath, I had hesitated in the past. Tonight, I just pressed around the
outside of the plastic trim ring and it came off rather easily. There appear
to be four screws holding the instruments in place. I will finish the job
tomorrow.
I have found the late single pod instruments to be less than reliable.
The trip odometer on my 91 Spider Veloce does not work, the tachometers on
both 91 spiders read way low and the regular odometer on my old 87 Spider did
not work although the trip odo did work. I suspect they just want there
internal parts massaged and caressed, so thanks Bruce for getting me started
on the project.

Ciao,
Russ Neely
