Compressors
I would appreciate any experiential commentary re compressors. The
small one I had from Harbour was recalled : $100. Very handy. It
did drive a 1/2 inch air tool at a reasonable pace...........
stubborn wheel nuts.
Sears has a helpful rating system which essentially defines what the
thing can do. I do appreciate that all is relative; however, Sears
(perhaps others C&H ?) has a 30 gallon unit that is good for sand
blasting (my dream) for about $300, a decent price considering what
it can do and how long it will last. No, not like my returned unit
at $100.
Consider as well that one can do low pressure spray painting with a
compressor......... and lots and lots of other things. I agree with
the lister who suggested that a compressor is much more useful than
one might at first think.
That reminds me : I do not recall seeing hydraulic jacks of a
relatively small size which can be activated with a compressor.
That would be cool. What does one need to power a full car lift?
(90 - 120 is my guess.)
What do you know about this? Can it be???? I do not recall a
compressor thread before. Am I doting?
