Re: windshield installation
Hi Dan,
What you usually do when you install a windshield with rubber gasket is to
run a thin rope in the grove around the entire windshield crossing the ends
at the top. Lube the gasket with silicone spray or a little bit of soapy
water then rest the windshield in the opening of the body. Have one person
on the inside pulling gently on the rope while another person is pushing on
the windshield from the outside. Go slow and vary the pressure as needed.
Good luck
Thomas

Ps feel free to contact me directly if you're still unable to get it
installed.

gtv. I put a new gasket from Hurtienne on the windshield. I do not have
the chrome pieces for the gasket (do I have to have them to make it fit?).
Tried mightily to fit it in with 2 guys helping, but it kept popping out.
Anyone in the Seattle/Tacoma area with expertise? Dan
