I have a '79 Alfetta that is lowered with fully upgraded
shocks/springs/swaybars that rides very stiff, and my CD player has never once
skipped.  I bought a Sony CDX-C7850, with detachable face (that is more
"Adult" looking than most) and I've had it since July of 2000.  It cost $400
at the time, but considering that it's worked flawlessly, since installed, I'd
say it was well worth it.
