Re: alfaBB.com spam?
While use of the digest and member's addresses can not be endorsed
(unless permission was sought and granted, which appears not to have
happened), the purpose of a bulletin board (AlfaBB) is decidedly
distinct from the purpose and function of a listserv (alfa-digest).
Time will tell what the motives and intent of AlfaBB are.

Subject: alfaBB.com spam??
Did anyone else get spam from www.alfaBB.com? Since I was identified
as an
Alfa owner and received their mail twice last night, I suspect they're
mining this Digest for addresses.
I know how much Richard likes spammers. As my French boss would say
"like a
hawk on a chicken".
PS: I'm not using this e-mail as a way to further their publicity
stunt,
though it may have that side-effect.
