Dan, the reason you can't recall is because the consensus was Spica. No,
Webers. No wait, that's the other question. Still, to start the volley off
right, I'll say -- either drilled or slotted will help reduce fade on the
track. Neither will probably make a noticeable difference in street
driving, except there's some evidence that they help in heavy rain.

My GTV came with cross-drilled all around, calipers painted gold and very
open wheels so all the shiny bits show. Easily worth a couple seconds a lap
when bench or bar-stool racing.

Actual useful advice -- Change your brake fluid at least once a year, and if
it's more than a few months old you might want to change it before a track
day. Use a good quality fluid like Ate Blue. Old brake fluid will overcome
the goodness of any set of brakes. Make sure your flex lines are in top
shape, if you don't know how old they are, replace them. SS lines are nice,
but new rubber lines are pretty good and lots cheaper.

Final offering -- If you're talking about your GTV, consider an upgrade to
vented front discs and 4-piston Ate calipers from a 70's BMW. IIRC it's a
pretty straightforward swap, and most of the parts can be had from a
junkyard. Someone has a tech article on this, I might even have it
bookmarked, I'll see.

OK, let the games begin!
