MGA DOHC design

In the context of 124 pushrod vs. OHC engines, Ron said: "I don't really
know why, but everyone confuses the Fiat push-rod / DOHC engine situation
with the MGA!"

Although the Twin Cam MGA was based on the same block as the pushrod engine,
and has some, not much, interchangeability of parts, by no means can you
bolt a Twin Cam head on a pushrod block, or vice versa, and go for a drive.
The engines were designed for machining along the same assembly line (one of
the reasons the B-series-based engine for the Twin Cam won out over a
completely fresh design that needed its own machining setup), but there are
tons of big differences, mainly in the Twin Cam's having an aluminum timing
case bolted on the front that wraps around the water pump, distributor, etc.
