164 Cold Running Problems

Richard,

I just saw your post on the 164 difficulties.

Obviously you've checked all the usual supects, fuel pressure etc.

I have had the odd problem as you describe with rough cold running.  I removed
the black cap on the AFM and sprayed contact cleaner on the wiper tracks.  It
has helped a couple of times and I haven't suffered any long term degradation
of the AFM as far as I know.
