poly bad? Nope

Keep in mind, the USA market has had poly for US cars for a while, and it's 
usually the very hard plastic type that these folks are concerned with. The 
poly in most of the Alfa pieces, meanwhile is later technology soft 
polyurethane, which is firmer than rubber in most cases, but it is designed 
to "give". The nice part is it tends to return to the original shape.

Spider trailing arms are one of those pieces that need some "give" and the 
soft poly does that. The bonus is that Poly can be made in a split fashion 
to make install easier.
