RE: Webers or Spica?

Pressure is just one component in achieving a highly atomized fuel spray. Injector design, metering plate characteristics, pulse width, sac volume, pintle shape, intake manifold design, pressure, etc. all contribute. Much of Spica pressure is likely wasted on just opening the injector. Plus, the design of the injector would likely be poor in terms of mechanically contributing to an atomized spray. Spica likely relies on a hot engine and loose emissions standards (at the time) more than current EFI systems. Spica would be lousy during cold start, but gain ground once the engine is warmed up.

Zamani,

If your first statement is correct then the above statement does NOT
make sense, since unless I am mistaken the Spica pressure is higher than
an EFI system.
