RE: Jacking point for 156 two litre

David,

Don't worry, I couldn't find jacking points on mine either..... The oil
was changed by the dealer when I got it a 60000 kms but I am nearing
80000 km so I guess I need to find somewhere to jack the beast up
properly.

I changed to winter tyres last weekend and lifted at what I guess are
the knuckle risers (sp?), I didn't put it on jack stands....

Hmmmm things to ponder

Fellows,

I went to do the first oil change (20,000kms) on my 156 twin spark
and was beaten by my lack of courage to use the workshop jack
under the car. As usual, there is a plastic cover under the
engine, with 9 clips to be undone. in order to do the job I
ASSUME that it would be easiest to lift the car once, crawl under
and get the cover off, and then do the sump plug and filter.

I doubt it makes sense to have to lift and drop the car multiple
times to do this.

Unfortunately our North American friends may not have too much
input into this answer, but hopefully our Continental digesters
can offer advice.

Cheers,
david
