bingo. at 6pm, a couple of hours after i shut it down, it doesn't want to
restart. i bet it'll start fine in the morning when stone cold.
suggestions so far include:
wiring at thermostat housing for cold start circuit
this appears to be in place, but i'll put the connector off and hose it
down with contact cleaner tomorrow
split hose in gas tank causing lowered fuel pressure
i'm not sure this really matches the symptoms
distributor cap and rotor
i'll pull these off and look at them tomorrow
bad connection at air flow meter
it's not hard to pull this off and apply contact cleaner, so perhaps i'll
do that
fuel filter
not sure it matches the symptoms at this point, but since i have no idea
how long it's been in there, and if the age & condition of the plugs are
any indication, it's probably time.
