The major change the ECU makes is to raise fuel cut off to 72-7300 rpm.
nothing like a few extra revs to make HP if you are not really out of
breath already. Seems to me the proper ECU is quite obscure in the US,
something like a big block 3.2L. most if not all the others have to low
a fuel cut off to make much difference.
