administrivia: warning, social engineering spam/virus is about

i'm seeing some evidence that some members of these lists (who will go
unnamed) have fallen for a new social engineering virus/worm piece of
malware.

DO NOT open anything from friend-greetings.com or install anything at their
prompting.

i repeat, DO NOT OPEN IT.

it's a nasty bit of business. it goes through your outlook/outlook express
address book, and sends the same innocent seeming message to everyone in
it.

in a couple of weeks, you'll start getting popup porn ads on your desktop.

SO DON'T OPEN IT.
