It was the '85s that came with the metric wheels.  The '86s had the wineglass
wheels (although given Italian manufacturing habits, I wouldn't doubt
if there were several exceptions).  Personally, I think the metric
phonedials look the best on a GTV-6 from among the factory wheels.
If only they weren't metric...

P.S. While on the subject of upgrades/repairs, mine still has the original
multi-piece head gasket, as far as I can tell.  If it was replaced, it was
within the first 10k/1yr or so.
