Alignment

Subject: Re: DIY Alignments

"I've had good luck with Les Schwab shops. They're a northwest icon, and
although I cannot remember if they in Seattle, I seem to recall they are."

I had the PIR Slut Spider aligned by Schwab's after installing the adjustable
camber arms, before last week's track day. Had them set "stock" caster, zero
toe-in, one degree negative camber, and the alignment guys were tickled to do
it.

Result was that understeer is drastically reduced, almost to neutrality. The
steering is much lighter than whatever it was, with no vices I have noticed.
Whatever the tradeoffs, the thing is more delightful than it has ever been.
Damn fine automobile. This is with Rugh springs, SuperUrethane bushings,
Sachs Sporting Gas shocks front, red Konis rear, stock sway bars, Mustang
15"x7" wheels outside Shankle 1/4" spacers. And, considerable twinkle dust.

YMMV,
Joe
