Any gear ratio differences between trannys from a 1750 and 2000 Spider?

In #1228 Livio Passera asks:

"If one had a transmission from a 1969 1750 roundtail and a transmission

from a 1974 2000 spider, would one theoretically be able to swap the
gears,
mainshaft etc from one to the other? Are all ratios the same, or are
there
differences due to the different engine size?"

********

I'd appreciate it if anyone replying did so on-digest, even if they're
not positive of their answer.

Is there any one place where various differential and transmission
ratios are given as to model and year of Alfas? A really neat addition
to that would be if someone / someones' added comments such as what
would be required to mix and match (i.e., I've had it explained to me
what is involved in installing a 5-speed where a four was before) and
what diff and tranny combinations work well for differing applications
(racing on tight as well as long open courses, good street acceleration,
long 'legs' for quiet cruising, etc.).
