The electric fuel pumps for EFI cars have check valves in 'em to prevent "back 
flow" of fuel and maintain some residual fuel pressure in the fuel lines after 
shutdown. These check valves can leak back with age and mileage thus creating 
a hard starting situation. So I guess it's worth a "check out". Disconnect 
your fuel line and if there is NO fuel in the line replace the fuel pump.
