Kevin,

Sounds like you have a lot of knowledge and experience with the 1750 and 2L.
I think most of us have experience with the "stock" cars that have not had
the benefit of special parts/knowledge.  On that basis, my comment about the
1750 vs the 2L is unchanged.  My first (and only) 1750 was a 69 GTV.  It had
great low end torque and I remember chirping the tires just because it was
the first Alfa I owned that could  (two Giuliettas, one 2600, one Berlina
1600 before).  Since then, I've had two "standard"  SPICA cars, and one
Bosch 2L.  Perhaps its the exhaust, cam timing, etc., but these cars are
just not as happy over 4K even though they can rev much higher.
