One more tidbit: If/when you talk to the previous owner or his mechanic, ask
if he has been putting $2K per year into service and maintanence for the
past 8 years. I have and that is also the norm for other owner's of this
model.

That adds-up to more than the car is worth, but delayed maintenance will
bite you like a doberman on a mail carrier with a roast beef sandwich in his
back pocket....
