I'm in need of suggestions, directions, ideas, moral support and money on 
this one.  I know you paesans will be good for 4 out of 5.

What differences in the S V6 engine account for the increase in horsepower 
over the L engine?

Which engine would be the most cost effective starting point for a rebuild, 
the L or S version? The goal would be to extract the most "streetable HP."
It would be used for weekend street and occasional track driving.

Why be reasonable? What would your rebuild recipe be for an all out HP, 
naturally aspirated V6 engine?
