I guess I like things snug, and I, too, heard the previously described
scary noise, but I have deduced that it is (probably) the acorn nuts
actually splitting or stripping. No leaks to indicate a crack in the cam
cov, at least on my car, so I'm assuming the nut failed.-P.Hood in
