Over-active slave cylinder actuation

Been a while since I've had a question, comment, etc. Summer vacation has
ended and the kids are back in school. To those of you enquiring about 164
parts, please feel free to contact me again as I've got more time to check
on stuff. Also, I'm about ready to begin parting the '77 Alfetta so let me
know what you'd like.

ANYWAY...here's the actual content: is it possible to adjust the clutch
pedal position on a Milano? The Spider has that adjusting nut right outside
the firewall but I've seen nothing like it on the Milano. My clutch
engages/disengages quite solidly with only about 1/4 pedal motion.

I think this may have been the cause of the recent demise of my slave
cylinder. The new one acts exactly the same -- perhaps with even more
pressure as when the pedal is fully depressed I can hear something rubbing
that I'm certain shouldn't be rubbing.

So, anyone BTDT and have any suggestions?

More background info: I replaced the clutch plate recently when fixing a
problem wherein the two threaded rings (which hold the forward bearing
assembly together) came loose. The whole clutch assembly and related parts
went back together with no issues and seem to do their job quite well. The
failed slave cylinder's seals failed. The failed slave cylinder also showed
the over-active condition. The new slave cylinder has less than 400 miles on
it and was borrowed from my Spider.

Too much info?

Anyway, the auto shop is open here in Marietta tomorrow and any insights
would be greatly appreciated.
