GTV6 - water in hatch

My GTV6 got rained on for the first time since I owned it and when I
opened the hatch, water dripped out of the hatch.  Further investigation
shows that water was being held in the rear most edge of the hatch.  

Is this caused by a leak in the rear window molding?  Mine appears to be
very good shape.  I wonder if anyone has had this problem and have you
cured it with sealant as opposed to replacing the molding?
