RE: alfa-digest V8 #976

I put a Kenwood KRC-2007 in my Giulia 1300 Super with minimal modification
of the dash (i.e. I can put the original back if I want and no one will know
the difference.) I use the original speakers-front and rear-rather than
putting new left right speakers in.  It sounds just fine, and with the
modern radio I can get AM and FM plus the tape.  Is it high fidelity? I
doubt it, but who could tell over the beautiful sound on an Alfa twin-cam!

Somebody was looking for retro styled, or at least non-obnoxious audio
equipment recently.

If you go to Crutchfield.com and search for "shaft style" you will be
rewarded with one single item, a Kenwood KRC-2007 cassette receiver.
It's not the best but it does have one big knob on each side and some
decent sized pre-set buttons and a minimum of Las Vegas lighting.

There is also a place in Germany that sells classic Becker and Blaupunkt
equipment, but evidently you must be very patient in awaiting a
response:
